Step outside and you’re straight onto the fells, no need to drive anywhere. From gentle woodland walks to full mountain days, some of the Lake District’s best hiking routes start right from the door. If water calls, there are wild swimming spots nearby too, ideal for a quick dip or a post-walk cool down.

After a day out, wander to the award-winning Chesters by the River for coffee and cake, or settle in at a traditional Lakeland pub with a fire, muddy boots and dogs welcome.

Back at the cabin, unwind on your private decking, watch for red squirrels in the trees, and let your dog stretch out after a full day on the fells.
